“Beth is incredibly talented.”

She helped us with our living room and dining room. Our living room was especially challenging due to its long, narrow shape. She listened to our style preferences, how we use the room, and came up with a fabulous design! She was very focused and attentive, sending me ideas to review and finding beautiful pillows, lamps and accessories to try. It was fun working with her and I so appreciated her attention to detail!

All About Me: Why not?
My kids create these every year.  Here I go!

 1.    FULL NAME: Beth Marie Snyder.

2.    HOW OLD ARE YOU? 40 going on 39.  WHEN IS YOUR BIRTHDAY? August.  I’m very much a Leo, and as a child of the late 70’s, it only makes sense that if I’m not a Jennifer or a Betsy, my middle name must be Marie like everyone else’s of that generation.

3.    WHERE WERE YOU BORN? New Haven, Connecticut.  Dad was a Yalie, woo woo!

4.    DO YOU HAVE ANY BROTHERS AND SISTERS? Fun Fact: I’m the only child of two only children! No siblings. No aunts and uncles. No first cousins.  I’m very close with extended family, however.

5.    ARE YOU MARRIED? Yes! While we live in Linden Hills, I’m afraid that I did return to my Edinian roots and marry a fellow Edina High School grad.  I am the lucky and proud wife to my husband Brent, who I must thank for all of his love and support. XOXO.

6.    DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS? Yes! I love animals, and have two fluffy white companions: Vail, our Birman cat; and Coco, our wonderful Great Pyrenees.  Read: I GET THE WHOLE PET HAIR THING.  We also have four hermit crabs and several, not sure how many, fish.

7.    DO YOU HAVE ANY CHILDREN? Yes! I am the proud mother of two gregarious young boys, Preston (9) and Augie (11).  They are busy, busy, busy.  I’m throwing the miles on the old car, let me tell you!

8.    WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL? I’m a liberal arts thinker.  I very much enjoyed history and literature and have a deep appreciation for how the two compliment each other.  If I had the time to go back, I’d enjoy studying the various art and architectural periods in history.

9.    FAVORITE  ACTIVITIES: I’m tennis obsessed.  Love the workout. Love the socializing and dear friends I’ve made. Check out my latest golf and tennis inspired line of pillows! I also enjoy sewing and repurposing furniture.

10. FAVORITE COLOR?- “COLORS” I will just say that my favorite aesthetic combo would be neutral furniture and walls paired with pops of color.  I love all pinks, navy and midnight blue, pale blue, coral, and a vibrant true green.

11. Design aesthetic I least relate to: Industrial. Anything Industrial, really. Sorry!

12. FAVORITE FLOWER: The lush peony. Hands down.

13. FAVORITE FABRIC: Linen.  Though lately I’ve been really drawn to vintage denims.

14. BEST DESIGN ADVICE? Stick to neutral basic necessities (i.e. furniture, nothing too crazy on the walls) with pops of colors in art, pillows, and accessories.  Exceptions: I love a great wallpaper.  Animal prints as neutrals.  ALSO, FEEL FREE TO DISREGARD THIS ADVICE AND GO WITH THAT AMAZING FABRIC FOR YOUR COUCH OR CHAIRS.  LETS HAVE FUN!
